About Me
I’m Seth Schuler. In 2021, a motorcycle accident led to the loss of my right leg below the knee. Following that, I became sedentary and obese as my health declined. To help me recover, my doctors prescribed a GLP-1 for weight loss and recommended weightlifting to maintain my muscle mass. After exploring various options, I fell in love with barbell strength training. However, I soon realized that performing a proper squat with a prosthetic leg is incredibly difficult; a rigid ankle causes the heel to lift, creating an unstable base. I searched for a coach who could teach me how to safely modify these movements, but no one had the specialized knowledge I required. This motivated me to study biomechanics on my own. Through extensive reading, online lectures, and personal experimentation, I successfully adapted the exercises for my body. Gaining the ability to perform major barbell lifts gave me the confidence to enter the world of powerlifting, where I eventually won gold in my division at the 2025 USAPL Rookie Rumble. This journey inspired me to support others who face similar hurdles. I earned my personal trainer certification through the NCSF and became a certified Adaptive & Inclusive Trainer via the Adaptive Training Academy. Today, I am dedicated to sharing that expertise and helping you reach your fitness milestones.
